Margaret’s obtained a bachelors’ degree in economics and management in 1999 from the University of Malta and a Masters’ degree in environmental policy and management from Lund University, Sweden. Following this, she was employed at WasteServ Malta Ltd where she successfully led two EU funded projects. After a 10-year career with the government she returned to the University of Malta where she lectures on various topics which include food systems and waste management. In 2020, she obtained a Doctoral degree from the Universita Autonoma de Barcelona.
