Isabelle La Jeunesse is a professor of environmental geography at the University of Tours and the CNRS Citeres laboratory. She did her PhD at Ifremer on the phosphorus cycle and the management of eutrophication in the Thau coastal lagoon. Since then, she has focused her research on the impact of human activities on water and the need for integrated management. Participation in European research programmes has fuelled her necessarily interdisciplinary vision of water management, from environmental sciences to social sciences in the context of climate change and extreme hydrometeorological events, with a particular focus on governance.
