The two MedECC Special Reports on Climate and environmental coastal risks in the Mediterranean and Interlikages of Climate and Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) nexus in the Mediterranean region were presented at COP29 during a Press Conference held on 18 November 2024, by two of the report co-coordinators Piero Lionello and Mohamed Abdel Monem. Following a brief introduction by the UfM Deputy Secretary General for Energy and Climate Action, Grammenos Mastrojeni, they presented the key findings of the report and put forth key information to support informed decision-making.
