MedECC organized the side event during 22nd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 22) to the UNFCCC which took place from 7-18 November 2016 in Marrakesh, Morocco. This side event gathered about 60 participants. The representatives of the Departments of the Environment of the governments of Tunisia, Morocco, France and Catalonia were present, as well as the Department of Foreign Affairs of the government of Monaco. The Union for the Mediterranean, Plan Bleu and IRD were also represented. The main focus of the discussions was how to improve the exchanges between science and society.
