Margarita Garcia-Vila is a researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). She holds a PhD in Agronomy Engineering from the University of Cordoba, Spain. Her research focuses on sustainable management and conservation of water in agricultural ecosystems, combining simulation models with other methodologies and tools, under present and future climate. She has conducted several assignments for short-term consultancy for UN organizations such as the FAO and the IAEA.
