Dr. Lupia is Director of Research with more than 15 years of experience in the development of GIS and Remote Sensing applications to agri-environmental issues and in the production and reuse of statistical data. He has been principal investigator and evaluator for several projects funded by European Commission and Italian organizations.

His research interests include precision agriculture; urban agriculture; geospatial information; remote sensing; administrative and statistical data for agriculture; natural resources management, land suitability, land cover/land use, volunteered geographic information, sustainability, open data.
