Franziska Schuenemann

Franziska Schuenemann is head of the Chair of Bioeconomy at the Institute of Economics at the University of Hohenheim since April 2020. She obtained her PhD in 2017 with a dissertation on "Economy-Wide Policy Modeling of the Food-Energy-Water Nexus in Malawi". She was a collaborator at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and a research associate at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW).
She analyzes the transformation towards a sustainable bioeconomy at the global and national level using computable general equilibrium and biophysical models to simultaneously capture economic, social and environmental impacts.
