Franziska Schuenemann is head of the Chair of Bioeconomy at the Institute of Economics at the University of Hohenheim since April 2020. She obtained her PhD in 2017 with a dissertation on "Economy-Wide Policy Modeling of the Food-Energy-Water Nexus in Malawi". She was a collaborator at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and a research associate at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW). She analyzes the transformation towards a sustainable bioeconomy at the global and national level using computable general equilibrium and biophysical models to simultaneously capture economic, social and environmental impacts.
